Flood Advisory issued June 3 at 11:24AM CDT until June 3 at 1:30PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN Showers and thunderstorms overnight and this morning have produced heavy rainfall from an inch and a half to three and a half inches across the advisory area. As the runoff works through the rivers and streams, expect rises and high water. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine County and Wisconsin, Burnett, Douglas and Washburn Counties. * WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1120 AM CDT Monday, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. We received emergency management and spotter reports of normally dry ditches filling with water along with elevated creeks and streams. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pine City, Hinckley, Rock Creek, Grantsburg, Hawthorne, Lake Nebagamon, Trade Lake, Siren, Wascott, Webster, Solon Springs, Minong, Webb Lake Wisconsin, Gordon, Dairyland, Brook Park, Henriette, Danbury, Cloverton and Mille Lacs Band Lena Lake Area. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you can do so safely.
