Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another round of showers and thunderstorms is forecast on Friday afternoon into evening. Flood Warning issued May 16 at 10:07PM CDT until May 17 at 5:00AM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis and Vernon and southeast Texas, including the following counties, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton, Orange and Tyler. * WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1007 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to runoff from earlier heavy rainfall. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Beaumont, Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Nederland, Port Neches, Lumberton, Vidor, De Ridder, Jennings, Bridge City, Oakdale, Jasper, Silsbee, Westlake, West Orange, Welsh, Vinton, Iowa and Woodville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
