Flood Advisory issued July 10 at 9:32PM EDT until July 11 at 12:45AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Ohio, including the following counties, Sandusky and Wood. * WHEN...Until 1245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 932 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bowling Green, Gibsonburg, Woodville, Pemberville, Luckey, Bradner, Wayne, Bettsville, Risingsun, Cygnet, Portage, Jerry City, Helena, West Millgrove and Burgoon. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
