Flood Watch issued July 11 at 1:41AM MDT until July 11 at 6:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The South Central Mountains including the Ruidoso area burn scars. * WHEN...From noon MDT today through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Storms that develop over the Sacramento Mountains in the early afternoon will be capable of producing rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour. The general storm motion will be towards the southwest, although slow and erratic motion should be expected.
