Flood Advisory issued June 3 at 1:33PM CDT until June 3 at 7:45PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Dallas, Greene, Polk and Webster. * WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Opposum Creek at Bannon Road, Givins Branch at Highway W, Panther Creek at Highway B, Pomme De Terre River at Greenwood Road, Niangua River at Highway Y, Little Pomme De Terre River at Highway CC and Cabin Creek at Cabin Creek Road. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northeastern Springfield, Strafford, Fair Grove, Pleasant Hope, Bassville, Olive, Elkland, March, Northview, Charity, Ebenezer, Foose, Turners and Glidewell. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
