Flood Advisory issued May 31 at 3:14PM CDT until June 1 at 2:00PM CDT by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the following counties, Phillips and Rooks. * WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 314 PM CDT, emergency management reported that the Deer Creek is out of its banks 3 miles west of Phillipsburg. The Deer Creek Basin received about 4 to 5 inches of rain across Phillips County from rain this morning. - Roads and locations along the Deer Creek, Bow Creek, Prairie Dog Creeks and the Kirwin Reservoir area are the most likely places to experience minor flooding in and around Phillips County and northeastern Rooks County. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Phillipsburg, Stockton, Logan, Agra, Kirwin, Woodston, Prairie View, Long Island, Glade and Speed. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
