Flood Warning issued June 27 at 3:19PM CDT until June 28 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County. Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sumner and Sedgwick Counties. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water flows over 103rd Street about 2 miles west of Clearwater. Flooding is about 2 feet deep in that area. South of Clearwater the river expands to about 1/2 mile on the south bank. Expect many county roads near the river to be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 19.6 feet and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 10.0 feet on Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
