Flood Warning issued June 27 at 9:50AM CDT until June 27 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Greenwood. * WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 946 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported continued flooding in the warned area as a result of Thursday Night's rainfall. - No additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Severy, Fall River, Climax, Fall River Lake, Fall River State Park, Piedmont, Cross Timbers State Park, Toronto Lake and Beaumont. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
