Flood Warning issued June 27 at 4:50PM CDT until June 28 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Greenwood. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 450 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Severy, Fall River, Climax, Fall River Lake, Fall River State Park, Piedmont, Cross Timbers State Park, Toronto Lake and Beaumont. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
