Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of slow moving storms today over a saturated ground to bring an elevated risk for flash flooding. Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.8 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 12.7 feet early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
