In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe. * WHEN...Through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Enhanced tropical moisture will remain pooled across South Florida for much of the work week. Portions of South Florida observed 4-8 inches of rainfall on Tuesday and 3-6 inches of additional rainfall is expected through Thursday evening, with localized accumulations up to 8 inches possible. Northern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida... * Until 445 PM EDT. * At 240 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar, Flooding Reports IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Surfside, Virginia Key, North Miami, Doral, North Miami Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, Opa-Locka, Miami Springs, Miami Shores, North Bay Village, West Miami, El Portal, Medley, Liberty City, Little Haiti and Gladeview. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 216 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
