In southern Florida, Glades and Hendry. In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 9 inches with isolated amounts up to 11 inches have fallen over South Florida since Tuesday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are still forecast to fall over South Florida through Friday evening. Flood Advisory issued June 12 at 3:00PM EDT until June 12 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Palm Beach. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 300 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs, West Palm Beach, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Tamarac, Wellington, Jupiter, Margate, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Worth, Riviera Beach, Lighthouse Point, Palm Beach and Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
