Locations include, but are not limited to Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Central City, Georgetown, Breckenridge, Eagle, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Delta, Aspen, Leadville, Fairplay, Buena Vista, Salida, Gunnison, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, and Dove Creek. WHEN...900 AM Monday June 29 to 900 AM Tuesday June 30 IMPACTS...Areas near and downwind of large fires in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah could have periods of moderate to heavy smoke through at least Tuesday morning. HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults. Consider limiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present. Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.

Red Flag Warning issued June 30 at 12:54AM MDT until June 30 at 10:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Wednesday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity is in effect from Thursday morning through Thursday evening. The Fire Weather Watch for Wednesday is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229 and 230. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Locally higher gusts will be possible this afternoon near high based showers or thunderstorms. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent on Tuesday and 4 percent Wednesday and Thursday. * IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution and avoid any outdoor burning. Fire behavior may become dangerous and erratic if impacted by gusty thunderstorm outflows. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
