Heavy Rain Risk Area The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam with isolated heavy rains in the North, the Northeast, the western part of the Central, the East, and the South (west coast) regions. The strong wind forces the wave in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-4 meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, typhoon “BAVI” over the East China Sea is expected to make landfall over the eastern part of China during 11–12 July 2026. The storm is forecast to not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore lasting 15 July 2026. People along the coast in the South (west coast) should beware of inshore surges.
