Heavy Rain Risk Area The low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf with isolated heavy rains in the North, the Northeast and the East regions. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high while 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
