There is also a risk of a tornado. What: Wind gusts up to 110 km/h Loonie to ping pong ball sized hail Heavy rainfall up to 50 mm When: Beginning this afternoon and continuing into this evening. Additional information: Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of and along a cold front this afternoon and will possibly continue into this evening. There is also the risk of tornadoes with these storms this afternoon. ### Local utility outages are possible. There is a risk of injury. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
